IAN SIMMONDS

Ian Simmonds researches and deals in glass made or used in America prior to the Civil War. More broadly he is interested in the material culture of early America, including the making, manufacture, marketing and use of glass and other decorative arts.

Ian sells at leading shows and by appointment, but does not operate a store.

Ian created iansimmonds.com in late 2006 as a means for publishing occasional short articles and to publicize his attendance at shows. While current or recent stock will be the focus of many articles, others will reflect Ian’s broader interests. New research will be reserved for other venues.
